Practical strategies to empower your journey
towards healthier blood sugar levels
I know what it’s like to feel the fear, the urgency, and the helplessness.
Becoming a dietitian wasn’t even on my radar—until my dad almost died during a business trip.
He came home with a double-whammy: an emergency open-heart surgery and a brand-new
diagnosis of type 2 diabetes.
It shook our world.
Looking back, it wasn’t surprising.
My dad’s mom had type 2 diabetes too—she was blind and a double amputee by the time she passed.
His dad died from a heart attack at 65.
I knew this could easily be my dad’s future… unless something changed.
So I changed.
I left my plans of managing a beach resort behind and went back to school to become a dietitian.
I couldn’t imagine life without my Pops.
I needed to help him live—not just longer, but better.
And I did.
He lived 31 more full years after that 5-way bypass. He got to see me graduate.
He saw me land my dream job at the diabetes center I still work at today.
He met his grandchildren. He traveled, celebrated, and kept working well into his 70s.
That experience shaped everything I do.
I know what it’s like to feel overwhelmed by diabetes. I also know what’s possible when it’s well managed.
That’s why I make it simple. No gimmicks. No judgment.
Just real support for real people who want to take control—one meal at a time.
I’ve found my purpose, and I love what I do.
